I've found myself watching and enjoying a large number of British shows lately, besides of course, Dr Who, the list includes:

Downton Abbey

Upstairs Downstairs (2010 version, unfortunately cancelled after season 2)

Sherlock, really love this modern take on the classic Detective!

London Hospital, drama about the London Hospital around the turn of the century.

Lark Rise to Candleford, a really well done drama about a Female Postmaster in the Town of Candleford and the neighboring Village of Lark Rise.

Whitechapel, a little less enthusiastic about this one but it's still interesting.
It basically deals with the Police Detectives dealing with Copycat crimes based on classic crimes like Jack the Ripper.

Keeping Up Appearances, this is an Comedy oldie from 1990-95, about the most annoying Woman in the world, she likes to think she's royalty but is really just common folk. Her name is Bucket but she tells everyone it's "Bouquet"

Any others I should be looking for? (please, no Monty Python or Benny Hill )
