it appears to be a storage warehouse for trade-in sets. apparently, the owner has not kept up on maintainance of the facility & apparently is causing damage to some of those sets.
there is a lot of nice looking sets in there & i would not be supprised if many of them still work. |

WOW!
i think most of them will soon be landfill though, i don't think there are many TV collectors in poland, especially with enough space to keep all those sets. |

The sets are located in Krakow. I really nice city, I have been there five years ago. Here are some more photos:

Polish sets, en masse
OK--Google will translate the text for free, and it makes interesting (giggle, giggle) reading:
http://translate.googleusercontent.c...ebapgsCEB3DElA If that link doesn't work for you, go to http://translate.google.com/ and put the original link in, Specify Polish to English (I assume), and translate http://www.allegro.pl/item909329518_...bisty_krk.html |

"communist-era televisions"... Does that mean that the CRTs came with only red phosphors?
(In the USA we referred to communists as "reds", like "Red China", "Red Scare" and "Better dead than Red!").
