Eastern TV sets
Hello,
here is a whole collection of appr. 50 Eastern tv sets for sale in Poland: http://www.allegro.pl/item909329518_...bisty_krk.html Collect in person. Nice to see the photos. Many Radugas, Junosts, Rubins, Granits, Orions and Neptuns, and so on. Kind regards, Eckhard |
it appears to be a storage warehouse for trade-in sets. apparently, the owner has not kept up on maintainance of the facility & apparently is causing damage to some of those sets.
there is a lot of nice looking sets in there & i would not be supprised if many of them still work. |
Wow....
|
If only they were a few thousand miles closer......
|
Thanks for posting-really neat!

WOW!
i think most of them will soon be landfill though, i don't think there are many TV collectors in poland, especially with enough space to keep all those sets. |
The sets are located in Krakow. I really nice city, I have been there five years ago. Here are some more photos:

Eckhard, its too bad I can't bring The Mighty Valdez over there, we'd ride over to Poland & load a BUNCH of 'em up & bring 'em home ! (grin)

OK--Google will translate the text for free, and it makes interesting (giggle, giggle) reading:

"communist-era televisions"... Does that mean that the CRTs came with only red phosphors? :D (In the USA we referred to communists as "reds", like "Red China", "Red Scare" and "Better dead than Red!").
