I had many German radios at one time but got rid of all but a few-all the ones I saved are Nordmende. Good products. Neat to see this! This is made in Japan? Were any VCR's made in Europe? Is Nordmende still around?

"Nordmende" isn't around any more. It had the same destiny as "R.C.A.", "Zenith"...

But I don't think it was bought by Chinesee, it was bought by the Turks... (Turkish made tv sets are have a little bit more qualty then the Chinesee ones).

Nordmende was a mark of prestige European, and also very expensive, in past years. now belongs to the group Thompson, who also owns Telefunken, Saba, and with supreme regret, even RCA
THE VHS I believe, very likely, everything was built in Japan by JVC under the names Nordmende and then imported into Germany, inside you see that made in Japan or U.K.. the only thing is the small German label of paper pasted on the panel rear (see picture)

Grundig yes, like Philips, built by the solie VHS, perhaps you have seen a vs. 320 or similar. a real jewel of mechanics. "all made in germany" I had 2, now only one, a small "u-matic" as mechanics with 5 electrical motors of Papst Switzerland. mechanical iron aluminum servo. not like that now with only one engine are all the functions and are in practice all plastic
