Here's what it looks like from the backside. Front or back, it's going to take some work to get that chassis out.

Interesting it's similar to the chassis in mine but looks like the cabinet like it will allow chassis removal out the back....yours uses a 14" CRT and mine uses a 17".

I had a Philco Seventeener II once and had a terrible time figuring out how to get that thing apart. A bet if I had the Sams it would have made more sense.

Great, great haul! If all you picked up was the 48-1000 that would be more than enough. There really isn't much I'd grab these days but that would be on my short list.

I just did one of those philcos minus the uhf tuner. The chassis came out the front complete w the crt with some wiggling. Was tight, has wood spacers holding crt . Was my 1st tv resto.
