saw one of those back in the big 80s.casual friend had one.pretty nice picture for the time and the screen was the difference.on a wall,it just was dim and flat.of course not like the projectors of today,but a nice,fairly bright,sharp picture.the forerunner of better things to come

Congratulations. One of my favorite movies, Easy Rider. Can you estimate the size of that projected image in your photo?

When this model was introduced, Sony's promotional material stated that because of the Indextron technology and lack of shadow mask, much more light passed though the lens and one could view an acceptable image without a screen. Of course this was more then 20 years ago and can't compete with modern technology.
