So she's got a new digibox. Nice clean SCART plug to probably dusty SCART socket. Not a complete cure but pretty good. Maybe a squirt of de-oxit would improve things even more. Does anyone know if there's an equivalent to de-oxit sold in the UK?

Thanks for all your help. I did think of trying to access the service settings but my experiences are not good. Bit like being in a maze; the more you try to find a way out the more damage you can do.
