Just rented the new "Day The Earth Stood Still"
Totally blown away with the suckiness of this one.
It has so little in common with the original that they might as well have changed the title to "Keanu Phones In Another One". The original was a subtle morality play with tinges of sci-fi while this one was a SFX orgy that bludgeons you to death with green issues. It's like they took a classic car, took off the radiator cap, put a new car under it, and put the radiator cap back on.
