On nearly every car forum I can think of over the years this topic inevitably comes up. Some pretty creative solutions get posted from using A/C clutches for the drive pulley to bypass intake ducting using vacuum operated solenoids. It is pretty funny how large this prop looms in the minds of so many gearheads, mine included. Hearing the belt slap & whine on start-up, you just know it's go time.
