nice 1972 zenith color on ebay

Another nice set showed up. Definitly a 1972 set. Possibly a 14DC16, this one might have a space command 100 remote, but its hard to tell for sure. Thats not a microphone up on the left corner is it? Sounds like the set needs to be converged. Hopefully he will ship it to me, as I asked!!

It's the power switch, or at least the hole for it. I had the exact same set when I was about 12 and it also was missing the power switch which I assume failed and was bypassed. I never could get a decent picture out of mine. I think I still have the tube socket mounted chroma IC somewhere.

Jeez Doug, I dunno....

It's not an especially great looking set (actually looks like a B&W) and judging by the photo, it's still in the dumpster.

But who am I to say what people should buy? I just bought this!

After selling this!

(Outside of Ebay, and for more than $2200!)

I love that style by zenith. I had so many of these as a kid. They were at resale shops all the time and at the curb. All are gone now, because I took them apart when I was 10 years old! However, I still have tubes out of them and some principle chassis parts that I seemed to keep all these years. They just blend in with the rest of my tv junk shelfs. Here is the only set surviving of the similar styled sets that I had. As you can see this set is very similar to the one on ebay. My plan is to get all these sets as I can, as they are some of my favorite portable sets.
