Magnavox-Westinghouse Connection?

While leafing through some old papers I found some pics showing various color chassis of the later sixties. The pics of the Westinghouse & Magnavox were identical in every detail. I figured they must have made a printing error, so I pulled out a couple Sams and took a gander. (751-3, a Westinghouse roundie, and 796-3, a Magnavox rectangular) No mistake about it. The pics are clearly different, as some minor details change: The Westinghouse lacks one small board which may be for enhanced audio; otherwise they are twins. What caught my eye initially was the unique rounded hv cage. So: who built them? Magnavox was the bigger player, of course. These are not RCA clones (they are the mirror-image chassis, with the hv on the left). I suppose it's possible the two companies split the cost of engineering these and built them in seperate factories...Randy Bassham, did you ever run across this? I don't have an example of either set...Westinghouse, for its part, seems to be one of the most scarce of all 60s color models.
