Panasonic Pop-up score

Ok, a minor score but these days anything I find at the thrifts is a score!

It's grubby but fairly clean under the dirt, the pop up door worked the first time I tried it but now it's stuck down, there's a screw missing in the back and that may be the problem. The tip's broken off the antenna and the clip that holds it is also broken but otherwise no major problems.

It came with the adapter but I haven't plugged it in since I can't get it open yet.

OK, figured out how to open it, there's a lock on the bottom.

It works with the usual vertical shrinkage but it's so weak and blurry I suspect the CRT may be bad
Could be something else but it has "that look"

Shouildn't be much trouble finding a CRT-those things show up all the time on You-Know-Where. I want the version w/the 3" CRT. They're kinda rare. Only seen one or 2...

As a kid in the early eighties I came across one of these for around $35...at the time I didn't have that kind of money. Ever since then I have had a soft spot for these things, but never have brought one home. They are not as common as they were 10 years ago so the next time one shows up cheap at the flea market I'll have to grab it.
