Invincible The Movie - A 70's Flashback and family movie to boot

- Inspired by the true story of Vince Papale - I saw some good reviews on the web and my brother -in-law had nothing but praise for it. Great time capsule of Philly football. Gritty story-line. Enough bar scenes without overdoing it. Loved the set director's work on making a 70's Philly background work. The cars and clothes were dead-on. I started to think Mark Wahlberg took some clothes right out of my old closet. Mark Isham soundtrack score. Lots of 70's hits played at the expected moments. A serious Greg Kinnear as coach Dick Vermeil played off nicely. I can still recall the small scene when he and his wife moved to Philly and unpacked, and his wife was loading the LPs into the console stereo.
While NFL football ruled the last half, the first half brought out enough of the characters, not to mention a good dose of Philly's gritty sights and sounds, to make it all blend.

All-in-all I think it is the best family movie to date - barring cartoons. Has a rightly-deserved PG rating. Adults and their kids were there in force. Very moving and especially engaging at the end. Highly recommended even if you don't like football
