Philco 51-T1875 combo console found. Looking for schematic.

Another one of those "couldn't leave it sitting there" roadside finds. It's actually a nice set - a combo AM/FM/phono 17" TV console, in fair condition, cabinet top is a bit water damaged, and some other minor cabinet damage, but not bad overall for the side of the road. Dragged it home and it actually kinda works. The radio works pretty well, even on FM, and the TV gets HV, raster and tunes in stations with sound and a fairly bright picture - only I can't get the horizontal to lock or even come close. No horizontal sync at all, really. Pretty good sound and tuning too, especially because I don't have an antenna to test it with <grin>. Actually, it has an internal antenna, and it seems to be picking the signal up well, it's probably a fault either with a capacitor or with a tube in the sync seperator/processing circuits. And there's definitely a shorted or patially shorted cap to ground in there somewhere, because even though this set has a nice big power transformer, I got a pretty good tingle from the metal channel knob, which went away when I reversed the plug.

I don't have time at the moment to work on this one, but hopefully in a month or so once I get my shop area sorted out. Anyone have a schematic or know which Sam's or Riders this might be in? No rush, but I figured I'd check while I thought about it. I snapped some pictures, I'll try and upload them as soon as they get developed (read, as soon as I find a USB cable around here).

Thanks!

-Ian

Sams Website says Photofact 135-10 AND 132-10. Wonder if it's either-or, or a typo in their index. I don't have either set so I can't verify. -k

The 1951 Most-Often-Needed (Supreme Publications TV-5) has a schematic that covers a whole bunch of Philco 51- models, and says 51-1875 is a "Similar Set". Primary difference being yours has an AM-FM tuner whereas most other models only had AM.
