Kutztown, PA finds 2 of 4. Motorola 12VT13B

This set was on the table behind 2 battery radios. It is not NIB, but NIP (new in apperance). It belonged to the service shop owner and was in his bedroom.

The condition is spectacular. Blonde cabinet with perfect trim and knobs. The 12LP4 is strong. The back is in place with a new power cord. Some work has been done underneath. It does have SCR's under there along with the 1B3 under the chassis by the flyback. Very odd.

The variac treatment brought it up full, but only lasted 10 minutes or so. Then the pix started shrinking. One can is very hot and leaking something hazardous. I stopped there. The can on the schematic is spread all over the chassis and will fix a lot of problems. One other paper cap is not pretty.

Stay tuned,

Dave A
