Missed it by that much!

Found an RCA G-2000 on ebay that was in mint condition with manual and remote. Item # 3014735779, It hadn't any bids on it until my 30.00 opening bid several hours from the end. Of course, It got sniped at seven seconds, My max was 100.00 he got it for 101.00. Probably should have bid more but am strapped for cash lately. He then emailed me and asked "what do you think its worth?" I told him whatever the people that bid on it decide! He knows nothing about electronics from what I could tell. He wanted it for his 60's era house to use as "decoration". Probably will toss it when he gets tired of it or when the wife complains. Oh well.....

Actually, i got hold of the owner, and told him that i was interested in the set, and would pay $100.00 ,if he could wait a couple of months, (like you, i am also strapped for cash right now, but, i MAY be coming into a substansial windfall soon,). i told him ,on the first day it was listed, that if no one made a decent offer, i wanted it, if he could wait till may of june. alas, someome got it. oh well, i still have my origional g-2000.,that i got last year.

This guy thinks that he can use this set every day just like a new one without doing anything to it, I think he may be disappointed! 34 years is a long time for capacitors, Especially 'lytics! If he can't do repairs himself, He may soon grow tired of his new "decoration"

I might be interested in that one, Although there would need to be some flexibility on his part pricewise, If it really is an unsold set I would be a serious buyer. How do I get in touch with this person?
