Bizarre small Japanese 60s set on eBay

I saw this Realtone set on eBay; a small B&W competitor to the Sony 8-301, the Singer AC-DC and their ilk. At a glance it looks newer than the 60s, 'til you see the back.

Never seen one of these. Neat the way the control shafts are out on an angle!

Another neat one! I had never heard of a Realtone TV, only transistor radios. You are right, at first glance this would pass for late 70s or newer.
