Late 60's Zenith- N. Carolina
A man emailed me about a Zenith floor model he'd like to get rid of. He said he'd appreciate a few bucks for it... or perhaps something in trade... maybe something smaller.
The set is model Z-4532-1, using chassis 20Y1C50. My guess is it's from 1968. Here's what he had to say about it... It works just fine. I'll send a couple photos under separate cover, one with the set on (these shots were taken about 20 minutes ago). The case is in excellent condition. Everything is original and unrestored. It was probably last serviced in 1975 (a receipt inside). No remote. I'd like to sell or trade the set. I'd like to see it go to a collector, restorer, or someone who will probably keep it as a TV (not gut it and turn it into a fish tank). I didn't know if what I had was particularly rare or desirable. Electronics is a hobby of mine, but I have other areas of interest and no room for the set. It belonged to my wife's Dad, probably purchased in Cleveland where they live. If you know of someone interested in it, even if they don't want to pay for it or have anything to offer in trade, please pass my contact info along. We have one response from freecycle.org of someone interested, so I might not have it much longer. Sincerely, Michael Davenport cell (404) 509-9159 I've included the photos that he sent along. If anyone is interested, give him a call. Looks like a nice set.
