Were these used in any all tube rectangular color sets? My search for TVs in Ann Arbor has not turned up any more sets, but lots of parts and other stuff. Probably the best thing I found so far is an Atwater-Kent console radio. I also got a nice tube tester, and an NOS 23" B&W CRT. They also have these 3 older looking color tubes still in the box. I also got a good deal on flybacks and yokes if I buy in bulk, but he doesn't have any of the ones I need, so I might pass. If anybody needs one they can't find I can go take a look when I pick up my radio. He has mostly all Thordarsons, some Merit. I think they are mostly for early 50s b/w sets. I am going to be hauling this back in addition to the stuff already here: 3 sets (2 consoles, 1 portacolor), 900 sams folders, 2 50s recliner chairs, .... And the 22KP22 was in the 21" rectangular RCA and the Zenith color sets of the late 60s. Not sure about the 21VBEP22, but it has the same socket as the 22KP22 and likely is a newer version of that same tube...
And yes; the 11SP22 is the "huge dot" portacolor tube. The 11WP22 is slightly "less worse" and was in the later tube PortaColor. Even the last solid-state PortaColor of the 90s with the AB-C chassis had an inline tube with huge pixels. Charles

The later 70's tube type portacolors and the solid state versions used a "10V" type number tube with high focus voltage. The earlier portacolors used one of the "11" types with low focus voltage.
The 22" tubes are used on the smaller sized CTC-31's and 38's.

Thanks for all the information on those tubes, I got the 11SP22 and the 22KP22. Thanks to captainmoody, I got the roundie I was looking for on my trip, a 63 Philco 21" console set.
It has been crazy here the past few days, since I got back with that roundie, I wasn't willing to let that u-haul out of my sight. And the only place to park it is in front of the driveway blocking peoples entrance/exit. So everybody is upset at me. I have been loading that truck for 2 days now. I have to make sure all this stuff is tied up good in there, with that Philco roundie, and the Atwater Kent 76, 2 other console sets, those 3 NOS CRTs, I really don't want to damage this stuff on the way back. That 21VBEP22 is still there, if you need it. I will either be leaving late tonight or early tomarrow morning, so I can't pick it up. But it is at Purchase Radio Supply, Ann Arbor MI., they are at http://www.purchaseradio.com/. He is also the same guy with the flybacks and yokes. If you like old radios it is worth a drive out there just to see their collection. The only flyback I actually need to replace a bad one is the FLY-100.

I'm back in LA, had a few days there with no internet access. But all my TVs and radios arrived ok. I saw an unusual set in the Goodwill at Gallup, NM. It was an early ss Panasonic with a button on the front for switching between NTSC and PAL. I didn't get it, but it must be a rare set.
rcaman - Thanks for looking for that fly-100, it would be good to get that Hoffman working again.
