Cleaning metal chassis?

Just wondering what some of you clean them with and results you get.The thing that got me wondering is I saw Chad's site and was looking at the jukebox restoration page since I collect them.I saw the AMI they were restoring and Wow! How did you get the amp chassis so clean and shiny without removing the writing?Looks like new.Since Chad is very active on this group I thought I would ask here.Wouldn't mind getting old tv and radio chassis that clean also.No one on the jukebox collecting forums seems to want to reveal their secrets to getting chassis and such to look like new.To get a grade 1 box in the jukebox world everything must look like new but true to original.

Yes...Me too. Cleanup of corrosion to go with it please
