RCA Estate Sale find

Got a CTC-44 this week-end. I'm kinda bummed as I was SURE it was a CTC-40 which is what I've been looking for. It says "Trans Vista Color" on the front and the knob layout is the same as a CTC-40. Beautiful cabinet, but the picture tube is toast. No blue I'm going to see if I can borrow a CRT zapper. Without a good tube in it, this is one I don't really care to have in my collection. Does anyone else have any CTC-44's? I was not aware of this chassis. I had a CTC-41 (I think) that was a modular chassis. The chassis on this one looks somewhat like a 40 but with a tripler.

Is it a 23" tube? you may be able to take a crt from a junk set. I was able to find a Curtis Mathes clunky plastic-wood and particle board console set from 1977 that had a 23" crt in it so I removed the crt and will install it into one of my sets that has a weak old CRT.

Are you sure the crt is bad...have not seen one with no blue. Screen voltage etc. good?
