Watching the ball drop
I'm planning to watch the ball drop on 2003 by celebrating the 40th "birthday" of my 1963 RCA portable TV that I've had since 1989 or so, and has worked perfectly, having replaced only 3 tubes since I've owned it. I plan on photographing it, and posting it here, so let's try to have everyone with a vintage TV post a pic of their set with the ball dropping on 2003 in Times Square!

Hoffman
Hey, I see a Hoffman in there!
Is that the 10" model, I have a couple of the 12" sets like that. Eric |

That's a 12" set Eric.
I believe it's a model 600 or 601. This is the model without the doors to cover the ugly yellow "Easy Vision" screen. Nice picture and sound even with the tinted glass. Jim |
