That thing's the height of something, I don't know what exactly, but it's definately the height of something. It could cause small children nightmares. I'd prolly come home loaded some night & get into a fight w/the goddam thing....-Sandy G.

It would make a good fish tank!

There is another HUGE 1960's combo German Tv on ebay. If I remember correctly it is in California. I lost the page today while surfing Ebay. A damn squirrel got tangled in the power lines and was toasted. The mess tripped my surge protector and shut off my computer. The remains of the squirrel started a small grass fire under the pole. I have not been able to find that Tv again. I actually think the set was a Kuba. Not the Comet but another model. It was not listed in the television pages. The puter will always let you down when you find something cool.

That's the fucking coolest TV I've ever seen. The cabinet embodies the then new gaining knowledge of space and the world's interest of it. A work of art! The buzz of that age found it's way into our home decore. And German! The quality and craftsmenship are certainly the best. And a hifi system too! If I only had the gallery space and money. To be in my livingroom and watch Flash Gordon on a Sunday Morning with joint. Priceless!!!

There was some BIZARRE movie back in the '80s that had monsters that kinda reminded me of the Komet-they lived in this cemetary or forbidden land or something, and a number of them had heads that had all sorts of weird, obtuse angles like that. Like a lot of movies, I saw parts of it several times, but NEVER caught the whole deal from beginning to end. -Sandy G.

Kinda reminds me of the styles that were around town....like the big atom like sign out front of the drive-in theater.... when I was a kid........

The ATOMIC AGE!!!!!!...

Oh, yeah. 1962 was cool, all right. The world came within a hair of being blown to smithereens, that's all. The race wars of the '60s were a-formenting that year-I think James Meredith got assasinated in Mississippi then. My sister just missed being born in '62 by 19 days- Dec 13, '61.1962 gave us a glimpse of what was awaiting us-too bad nobody paid attention.-Sandy G.

There's one at the MZTV museum in Toronto. I've seen it in person, the size of it rivals my Lincoln
