1969 Zenith color TV restoration video series
Hi All,
I have uploaded to YouTube the first two episodes of a new series of videos on the restoration of a classic 1969 Zenith color console TV. This is still a work in progress but I've been working on the set for 8 months and have completed the first 9 episodes that will be posted each week on Saturday morning. This was a big process to get the TV working and I hope you will find these episodes fun and interesting as I ramble along trying to figure out what to do next! Thanks for watching! Already on it & interesting. You probably already know it but the 6HS5 or 6HV5
need the correct damper tube. See tube chart, tag on HV cage, or manual. Last note is there is a VDR in the HV reg. Doug, DRH???? found a sub & the story is here from abt 4 yrs ago. IIRC when they go reg is bad & there is a bend & blob at the bottom of screen. BTW I have a Zenith parts price list from 1978 & it has subs if you need any. 73 Zeno ![]() LFOD ! |
