Sad to hear your dad passed.

With regards to the TV there's 2 good albeit expensive ways to get it across the country.
1 plan a vacation to get it in person. I went to Florida in winter to get a CTC-4 from Birmingham in '18.
2 pay craters and freighters to crate and ship it. Back in 2020 when I won that Westinghouse H840CK15 (read that CT-100 competitor that beat it to market) that was up for auction in Portland I ended up spending something like $1100 to get it crated and shipped. It arrived without a scratch and basically worked on arrival. I wanted to use option 1 for the Westy, but with covid going on and no vaccines available then I was told I'd be evicted if I drove out to pick it up.

I repaired one of those sets in the mid-60's. It needed a CRT and it had a tuner problem. The tuner was the last one Motorola made themselves, not one of their better efforts.
As I remember, it had a PC board chassis, where most of their products were hand wired.

You could just roll the dice and have it shipped. Have the seller roll it in bubble wrap and double box it with a lot of cushioning and I bet it would be fine.

I just had a Admiral 11" playmate shipped from St Paul Minn into BC Canada and it arrived in perfect condition, and it done a lot of travelling. It went through the ebay's global shipping program so it went first by Fed EX to Erlanger KY then to customs in Ontario and shipped across Canada by Purolator ground. It was delayed with all the flooding in BC and finally got here 2 days ago. About 3 weeks transit and delays. The box arrived without a mark on it.

The packing and shipping would be the killer. Not to mention the fact that its been sitting on a porch makes it iffy... I cant purchase it through ebay without a paypal setup.. Probably gonna have to let this one slide by... But i thank you for the offer..

You don't need paypal to use ebay. They spilt up about a year ago.

One of us locals can possibly pick it up, remove the CRT and Chassis, and ship it all separately?
