Vertical output transformer cross reference information needed

Hi Everyone,

I have spent hours looking on-line for cross reference guides to vertical output transformers with little success...

Maybe someone can shed light on this subject. I have two Zenith TV's that I am seeking replacement vertical output transformers. If someone has information on the after-market replacement information from Thordarson or Triad (or others) I would very much appreciate this help.

Chassis one : Zenith 23XC38 (1966-67) has a 95-2374 vertical output transformer.
Chassis two : Zenith 16Z7C50Z (1968-69) has a 95-2551 vertical output transformer.

Does anyone have cross-reference information on Thordarson or Triad after market replacements? I would very much appreciate the information, or where I might find a guide on-line?

Thanks!

Dave

My 1981 Thordarson guide shows 95-2374 crosses to 26S45. 95-2551 crosses to 26S60.

Triad alternative for Thordarson 26S60?

Can anyone tell me if a:

Triad A-308X

is a direct replacement for a

Zenith 95-2470 or a

Thordarson 26S60?

These are vertical output transformers...

Thanks, Dave

I have a scrap 16Z7C50Z. I'll check to see if it has 95-2551. I know it's good, as the set had a full picture.
A much older Dave.

Why is it so rare for transformer specifications to not be included in service manuals and Photofacts? Knowing the inductance, resistance, current, and voltage ratings of each winding would make our hobby much easier.

Sam's typically listed resistance for continuity tests, but the other values are not important for repair which is what Sam's was geared for. Really if a flyback isn't open a ring test is about all else you'd need to do to check it.

I don't have a Triad transformer cross reference guide and can't really find the right one on the web so I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if a:

Triad A-308X

is a direct replacement for a

Thordarson 26S60

These are vertical output transformers...

Thanks, Dave
