How rare are Sony sets made by admiral?

Came across this:

Interesting observation ; The audio input / output connectors (which are a type commonly called "XLR" and are commonly found on recording studio microphones) appear to possibly have been added by someone other than Sony , they are screwed in rather than riveted like the video connectors are .

Back in the 70's I did a stretch of hard time at Sony factory service
in Westwood Mass. I saw a few of these. They were converted to monitors.
The interface board was US made but not by Admiral IMHO. The thing
I never understood was why they chose Admiral over Zenith or RCA
far better products in all respects. Must have been $$$. When it came
out Trinitrons didnt come above 12 inch so if you need a bigger monitor
you had to relabel something else. A rare sets but not of value IMHO.
A curiosity for us oldies.

That Admiral is monochrome. I Own the admiral badged version of it with a IIRC slightly different AV input jack pack.
It doesn't surprise me much that the input pannel is not made by Admiral...I also own a 1967 color Admiral console with factory remote and the remote and reciever chassis for it are both made in Japan.
These sets were either companions to their early RTR VTRs or used to demonstrate them at trade shows.
For color Sony really stepped up the firm's they bought from in the pre-import Trinitron days....I have a 17" Setchell Carlson industrial modular tube color monitor (no tuner IF or sound provisions in it) with the Sony badge on it.

BTW if you buy that and want to trade it for the Admiral version I have (which is working in as found condition as of last power up). I would be fairly strongly interested. That set would make an interesting companion to my Sony Setchell Carlson and to my AV5000A, VO-1600, and IIRC AV8600 VTRs.

Makes sense to me. I remember looking at a skip-field monochrome reel-to-reel (probably Sony) when I was at Motorola. We recorded a Cubs baseball game and were shocked when the playback looked like film instead of live video.
