They have one locally once a year, it rotates from county to county. I checked it out last year when it was close but found just a roll-off dumpster full of mostly computer monitors. Was a good chance to get rid of some late model junk I had. I had talked to the fellow in charge beforehand and let him know what I was interested in but he didn't seem real interested. I didn't go this year. I'm sure if I tried hard enough I could talk them into letting me help. This time it was in a somewhat more affluent county, one that likely had better tv sets years back! Visions of mint roundies being brought in...but same old problem, what would I do with 'em if I got 'em?

Yes...that white set is a Zenith Chromacolor II...it is solid state but it looks older than most of the Chromacolor II's I've seen. I'll try to give it a test today. Have started testing some of the Trinitrons...got about 15 70's and early 80's Sony's. Our truck is an '86 Dodge 3/4 ton w/360 engine and Tommy Lift. The lift gate has been a life saver hauling heavy equipment, especially things like 400 lb jukeboxes!

O.K., I got to testing some of the sets today: they look great! Pictured will be a 1975 Sony Trinitron, a late 1960's Sony Trinitron, and the Zenith Chromacolor II.

Really, this is a strange world when folks throw stuff like that away! Nice rescue!

I briefly had an '84 D-250 with a 360. I traded an S10 in on it, thought I could live with going from 26 mpg down to 12 mpg. I was wrong! Had Dakota's since then, if I can't haul it home with one of them I really don't need it!
