1951 16" philco tv
I decided to start work on my 1951 16" Philco round CRT set. It needs a new second anode wire about 18" long. Does anyone know where I can get a new one about 18" long. I have an old one but it's not long enough.

As far as HV wire goes, there are several listings on e-bay, if you have the anode cap, you probably could solder the connector onto the wire. Here is a link to one that I bought for a TV that I was restoring.

Another source for high voltage wire are shops that make neon signs. Most cities have one at least.

I found bulk spark plug wire with metal core works well and is rated for high voltage. I used it on a 51 Philco.

To include a hotlink in your message, just paste the URL into the text area:
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...4&keyword=mw11 The forum software automatically makes the URL into a hotlink. Formatting the URL as "HTML Code" as you did makes the link un-clickable. Phil Nelson |

Of some interest perhaps: I believe that is the the set that can best lay claim to the title of Happy Days TV set, the model that graced the Cunningham living room set during the show's peak years, occasionally having an image pasted in in closeup.

Very cool, that would be awesome to see a picture of that set on the show!
