I think this set might be a GE?

It has doors with speakers that close over the screen when not in use.

First picture shows it from the balcony as Batman is climbing over, next shot is the set with the doors wide open, 3rd is a picture of the set with a color picture superimposed on the screen (B&W set!) last is the remote in Commissioner Gordon's hand, obviously a Zenith remote that's been painted green.

Note in the balcony shot the screen is normal, in the close up it's covered with black cloth or something, probably to prevent reflections.

Ms Gordon sure has a swinging uptown pad for a Woman fresh out of College and working as a Librarian.
How did she manage a hidden room with her own private elevator that exits in a back alley?

It's definitely a GE. I've got a 60's issue of look magazine with an advertisement for that model.

At least he's pointing it the right way, unlike Catwoman.

B&W sets with color pictures showed up often on that show. There was even one in "stately Wayne Manor" (haha) - one might think he'd have the latest and greatest.

Millionaire Bruce Wayne had a 50's B&W Zenith with some Dumont knobs and a custom cabinet with a Marble top, it of course displayed a color picture, no doubt some special Bat tubes inside.

Millionaire was such a big deal back then, now that would be considered Slumming by the wealthy elite.

Don't forget that her father is the Police Commissioner, so he probably made at least $20,000. He could easily afford to help out his daughter if she needed a few dollars to pick up the occasional superhero toy.

Of course that ignores the fact that nothing in that show made any sense at all.

Again it was the 60's. A lot of entertainment produced back then didn't make any sense.

Bat Man. I was the right demographic BUT I hated that show.
How much more corny can you get ! Still cant figure out
why I watched it, it would be very painful now.

GI Joe was the other one. This cat drank a case of bad ass but
he was STILL a doll. My attitude was give me a uniform, some
pineapples, an M1 or better yet a BAR & a few feet of piano wire.
And dont forget that big ass knife you could dress an elephant
with in 10 minutes ! All to scale & realistic....
So equipped us kids could win the war again !
Oh yes Jon Canadian kids too !!!

BTW that color on a B&W TV is the most common blooper there
is. What else drove me nuts was the black tape covering the brand.
Usually Sony. To cheap to pay to advertise.
