Any interest in a Predicta tube and chassis (GOOD tube)?
I have a CRT and chassis from a predicta set. Also the front of cabinet...but NO complete cabinet. Think it is 10L43--I KNOW it is a cold chassis with what looks like a 5U4 rect tube. 21" tube--not sure which one--tested as an SF21 on 70 shows pretty good. In predicta tube housing.
I will bring it tomorrow to the ETF_-if anyone is interested. Too late for the auction...I THOUGHT I would have the cabinet...but that did NOT work out. |

Few things to consider :
10L42, 10L43 are 17" models. 21" is likely chassis 9L37. 21" models are hot chassis, 5U4- looking tube is likely the 12D4GT damper. 17" models have a power transformer, but both models use solid state diodes. Be interesting to see what you really have. ![]() jr |

Perhaps I have the WRONG chassis for the tube. It is NOT a 17" tube And This chassis DOES have a BIG power tranny.
Since this stuff came from a guy who often "takes of the vine" so to speak...and he was NOT able to get the rest of it for me in time for the ETF...it is NO TELLING if the CRT is right for the chassis or not. I will bring it all...if there is any interest. |

Is the chassis nearly square or long and skinny?

More rectangular than square. Tranny on left side--fly cage after that--then a PC board with most components.

Sounds like a chassis for a 17" model. The 17" chassis uses a 6DA4 for damper (not 12DA4). Still, a nice bunch of Predicta parts, especially if the tube is pretty good.

I'm pretty sure early 17" chassis used a 5U4 rectifier instead of solid state diodes.

I do not really know anything much about the chassis, only that it is a 10l4 something with a tube rect. |
