cool little shop
Was at a flea market north of Orlando Florida today along 441. lo and behold was a vendor (a full time one at that) with a little TV shop in a stand alone building. The tube caddies outside the door drew me in. 3 inc Pilots to 30 inch Dumonts. He fixes and sells. It was a blast to the past. Just goes to show there are still some hidden jems out there! I apologize now for not taking some pictures. We talked a little shop for a moment or two and I left. Totally cool.

Are You sure you didn't go through a time warp Star Trek fashion ?
I want pictures to prove it wasn't just a dream ! Even if it was a dream I would like a dream like that instead of some I have. rrrhre2s |

Did he have a 30" DuMont in the shop? That set is an imposing sight.

Those 30" Dumonts are quite rare...Especially ones with good CRTs.

It's hard to appreciate just how big the 30-inch tube is unless there's a person standing next to it for scale. Scroll down on this page to the photo with Allen Dumont:

There are 1 or 2 stands each selling vintage electronics at the Adamstown and Kutztown PA locations.
They are overpriced and largely absentee standholders but this guy in Mount Dora looks for real!

Yeah, but isn't there something fundamentally wrong w/the 30 inchers, & they have NOTORIOUSLY short lives ? Their "Reach Exceeded their Grasp" w/these..
