The TV that started my new odyssey
This got lumped in with a group of furniture items that I got at auction for a dollar. I admit that I thought it was cute and wondered if I could restore it. That led me to this site. Honestly, I didn't realize there was actually this big of a hobby restoring old tube tvs. Anyway, it's a 1960 RCA Victor. Cabinet wasi perfectcondition untili hauledit home. It powers on and does make a snowy picture but horizontal and vertical don't last long. From reading threads here looks like I need to start with caps and testing the tubes. My plan was to hook up dvd player in a rec room and use it for old b&w programs through a converter box. Sound okay?
Found a service manual on eBay so I'll have be the details before long. uploadfromtaptalk1403302819487.jpg Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
