11WP22 Portacolor pinout?
I need the pinout for the 11WP22 CRT. Pin code 14BJ. I want to hit my Philco Portacolor clone on the Beltron with clip leads. An old thread mentions it but does not have the info. Scans fine...just typed is just as good.

Eric...great. It looks like a ganged cathode (K). My adaptor has separate cathode connectors. Should I just pick one? And my homebrew connector is G1 only.

I did the test tonight with mixed results. If you go by the pinout and connect the leads (all K leads go to one pin and all done with a clip lead adaptor) to connector #1 on the Beltron, it showed good emission but a bad life test connected as if it was a full RGB CRT test at 13.8v
Using the G1 cleaning only #2 connector on the Beltron I got a very bright light on the R gun but nothing on the B/G lamps.. The R seemed to have a good life test after this first all-gun cleaning. The others were as before cleaning. I then tried to isolate the guns via the filament taps available on various pins. The filament is series at 13.8v for all guns but there are pin taps for each gun. That would make each one 4.8v or so. I then tested the B/G guns one at a time as if they were a BW tube with only the proper B or G connections to the pins and the Beltron and did the cleaning again on those two to match what I thought was a good R attempt. It seemed sucessful as the life test now was in the 20 second range. More that fine. But assembled, the set acted funny. The B/G guns came right up to the usual miserable Portacolor-DC restoration lacking-pic. The R lagged behind by about two minutes to get up to speed. I am wondering if my first full attempt at 13.8v really did nothing for the R gun despite the bright lamp indication and I need to do the BW version on that gun. The end result is that this tube can be done one gun at a time via clips in the BW mode. H/G1/K. Most GE tubes show a date code of 188-5. Probably original. No suspicion of bad caps yet. Time to re-tube and find the focus pins next.

I did the red clean again and things are better. Two minutes or so to a stable pic. I did the grey scale from a GE version and it looks good for the age. Still have a focus problem and my Philco version only has a one-point focus connection at probably 270v. No options for a higher boost voltage for focus. Every tube in this is tired and I will wait until I can get them back to normal and then see what I have. Thanks for the help. And the Mavica can wait as it has for 15 years.

I wonder if the Beltron socket-adapter you need to make up for these three-in-a-row GE CRT's can be a standard delta-rectangular type just wired differently![]() That Beltron sounds like the Heathkit CRT rejuvenator and I made that GE wired socket for mine shortly after I got it. I saw many of those GE jugs that needed a good kick , like those used in the '71-'72 19" C-2 and 16" N-2 chassis.It does a "clean" by applying AC between cathode and G1, and you use "rejuvenate" which is about 200 VDC only for the real tired ones. It is a pretty gentle process on clean and the two lamps that limit the current keeps it from frying the cathode .
