= Thomas Crown Affair - Great Bank Robbery Flick =

For those of you in the NYC broadcast area tonight Sat. July 27 2013 PBS channel 13 is running the Thomas Crown Affair. In my humble opinion one of the greatest "theory" based bank robbery movies..... And as always on reel 13 they talk a few minutes at the beginning about how the film was made, and a few words about how the actors were chosen. Great no commercial movie time....

I believe bank robbery movies fall into at least 2 categories, Lots of guns, bust into the place, get out before the cops show up.... Point Break is my favorite in that category.... The other is a really great "theory" bank robbery movie.

And if you have not seen the Thomas Crown Affair, I won't spoil it for you, except to say I believe the theory behind this bank robbery movie is very inventive, and insulates the mastermind from getting caught if some of the "not so thick as thieves" members of his gang get caught......

This movie has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it as a kid.....

If you are in NYC LI NJ and can get one of the PBS channels carrying Reel !3 tonight, this is a movie not to be missed.... Start at 8 with Keeping Up Appearances, worth it if you have not seen it before, then As Time Goes By, also very good, then REEL 13 at 9PM......

Last week they ran The Sunshine Boys, also a great movie. Search "reel 13 PBS" on google and you can see how they run their Saturday night movies. Classic movie, then an Indie they are usually very good, or at least very interesting..... And a Short, some 5 minute home brew movie.

Haven't seen it since it came out back when I was a kid. I remember going to see it and invited one of my friends to go.
The "affair" in the title threw him though and he said "Eww...a chick movie...really?"
