Yet another Portacolor

got this one off ebay. Very nice set seems to be in mint condition. The seller did an excellent job of packing

I don't think I will need to do anything but maybe a little convergence setup, some minor tweeks to the focus (this one has a pot for that). I sure like these little things, they just keep on trucking...

I thought it would be fun to video the unboxing, getting tv's thru Ebay is a real gamble, I wanted to document the whole process. In this case clearly the guy knew what he was doing.

That one is nice! Glad it arrived in one piece. Looks like it's the weekend of the Portacolor.

Nice example of a time-tested design.
Then it was changed to "performance television" with the AA series and the dreaded PCB griplets requiring lots of re-soldering.

The Porta-color would definitely be GE's most notable contribution to CRT TV history.
