Baer - Nova Fight

A question to the experts. Was the June 1st 1939 Baer - Nova fight on W2XBS the first televised boxing match in the US to use electronic scanning? According to Wikipedia on February 23rd of that same year the BBC televised the British lightweight championship fight between Eric Boon and Arthur Danaher. Wiki credits this broadcast as being the first ever televised boxing match. It goes on to say that the Baer Nova fight was the first ever heavyweight boxing match to be televised.
Any one know any more info?
