magnavox ?37686 ???
 Ok, so i just got home with this beast. And no it doesn't take 6 men if one is a very determined italian.  I have no one to help me unload, and as it is i'm exhausted, so it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. With so many accident delays and snow, a four hour round trip took seven, but i did get it for $15. Anyway, this is what i just got off the back. not sure of the first digit, so it's ?37686. Any ideas? Was in such a rush to get back I'm not even sure if its a magnavox, only had time to grab it and get out.

Is it a roundie or rectangular?
I moved a similar RCA CTC40 from my van to the house by myself, i used a rolling platform but it still about killed me.

Pull the back and look for a paper sticker on the chassis. It will probably be located near where the AC line enters into the chassis or close to the power transformer. This sticker will have the chassis number stamped on it (something like T933). The radio chassis will have a similar sticker that ID's the radio portion.

back in the 70s,my first wife would help me with these things.we once had 3 in our living room.the last one i had came from an estate auction in a very affluent suburb of columbus.my son carried one end and i had the other.many auction employees laughed at the thought of an old man and a spindly youngster carrying this monster out.josh lifted his end extra high to make his point known.my first wife wasnt a big bruiser typer either.5-5 130 lbs.there is a method to moving heavy objects.i moved pianos and refridgeration equipment for awhile.those old guys really knew how and i just watched and learned.the "6 men and a boy" was a joke.still,it is a heavy beast!

Nice find! This should have a nice picture and sound one day,after a restoration. The stereo in these combinations were quite nice sounding. Some of the "Maggie's" even have horn type tweeters. Please keep us all informed of your progress. Best of luck.
