Marconi TV-100 Canadian Marconi

Hi,

I hope this it is ok to ask for you help in identifying a t.v. I have been searching for days trying to find something out about a vintage Canadian Marconi Set.







It is a model TV-100 and was made in Canada by Canadian Marconi - it has a 9" circular tube and is quite small and sits on a table.

TV came to Canada in 1952 and after reading as much as I can find - which isn't much - I think it may be one of the early 1951 models first made by Marconi. It has a plate on back with Model: TV-100 and serial No. 701. The name Williams is written inside on the back of the chassis. Inside is a schematic of all the tubes which shows the names of all the manuf plants in Canada.

It took awhile to boot up - surely there was another term then - "warm up?" but it appears to be working. The tubes are all lighting up and there is a white glow to main CRT. We were thinking of hooking it to an old tv converter and the converter to cable to see it will bring in a picture.

Long story - does anyone know what this is, or where I can find further info on this Canadian Marconi model? -

2/21/2013 I have a little more info on this tv. I found list of manuals for Marconi and the list of models. It appears TV-100 was the first model made.
