Actually, I'm almost certain that it's a tube set. Possibly a 4-tube hybrid. Zenith used that same cabinet up into the system 3 era.

I remember these quite well at the TV shop. These came out in 1972 and I have not seen one in years. Looking at that control pane, it's a 25CC50 chassis and it's a majority tube set, and NOT a 4-tube hybrid. How nice to see one that doesn't have a yellowed base. Someone SAVE IT, very special unique TV! I would but I'm too far away.

I have 5 25cc50 sets so I must be the king
It really does like a 25CC50, i believe its 14 tubes, solid state IF and uses and IC on a single plug in board for the chroma demod. Its really a good combination of technology.
The one weak spot is the focus divider resistor that comes right off the crt HV cap.
Very worth getting and in a very desirable cabinet

Really!?!? are you serious? I drove from LA to Atlanta 4 times to clean out the 'gold mine' of tvs. Several others that met me drove 15 hours plus each way.

I keep dreaming some GREAT old set is gonna show up in LA...just for me.

I'd drive up from San Diego any hour of the day if I only knew WHERE to look for these sets in LA. I'm already up there every few weeks in Irvine, Norwalk and Rowland Heights.

That is a beautiful set!

Reminds me of the living room set of the parents of a long-ago girlfriend. However, their's was an Electrohome...
