Heres the 3rd tv set. I think $25 for the lot was a awesome deal.

Wow, I think you're right! $25 was probably an OK deal on the first set less knobs. The VT-71s appear to be in very good shape, though more missing knobs lessens their value somewhat. Are those both TS-4D sets? I would like to have a VT-71 myself, but I'm holding out for one of the very-early runs with the 7F8 converter. Still, your sets are relatively early and not as common as the TS-4J sets. The most obvious difference is that later VT-71s have a concentric channel selector with a fine tuning knob; both your sets have a selector that takes an ordinary knob with no fine tuning adjustment.
If it were me I guess I'd put them on the 'bay. Let the market decide.

That's remnants of the mask. Most of the originals have "melted" like that; new replacements are available.

Oh derr, a missing speaker isn't going to help get top dollar either. Don't tell me it's missing from every one of the sets? I hadn't noticed the broken slats on the 12" set either. A combination of missing components and physical damage pretty much brings your 'awesome deal' down to size, that is, you did alright but so did the seller.

look's like a chocolate milk shake was dump in it, that stuff must melt at a low temp or it gets real hot in there. i like that large one ,need to get that one up and running.

So around how much do you think each tv is worth?

At least ten bucks apiece.

I don't know why I was semi-oblivious to the 100% swiped tubes either. Audubons right. I would have very gladly done the same deal, but not because I expected to turn a profit.

Noticed NONE of the tubes seem to exist in any of the sets as well.
I would have fun TRYING to track down all the tubes....especially with having almost ZERO experience with tube sets. Then missing knobs....so finding "correct" knobs and not just ones that will work. Probly worth something to those pros out there, but certainly not for someone without the proper channels (hehe!) to find these CRAZY rare items.

The "Masks" in these guys were made from some sort of unstable rubber/plastic compound that deteriorated over the years into a goopy sludge. Yeah, somebody had a field day "robbing" all the tubes outta these guys, but I DON'T think they got any tubes that are worth a fortune like they anticipated... If the CRTS are good, those would likely be the most valuable tubes in the sets...
