Westinghouse H-618T16, 1950 set
Just got this 1950 Westinghouse from a guy at work for $40. He bought it off the son of the original owner, who died some time ago. Don't know anything about its last functional use. Googling finds that the Sams Photofact for it came out in 8-50. I've only done two console radios, a couple of tabletops, & a 1965 RCA console TV-never tried to restore a TV this old. AND-I have no CRT tester. I guess the plus is that it uses an all glass CRT, but then if it has low emission or is a leaker I'll just have a prop on my hands. I suppose I'll have to keep Phil Nelson's website at the top of my "favorites" list
 This came with a matching base with a grille that looks like there's a speaker behind it-but there isn't. I'll post pics of that later, as for now it sits in the garage while I'm on a family trip back east. I told my brother(house sitting for me) to be careful if he decides to clean up the garage! Any pointers would certainly be welcome.

thats a cool looking set ,its a good thing you got it before someone destroyed it, by [ fishtank ],or threw it away.

I see an ion trap magnet on the CRT neck. If that isn't adjusted correctly, the CRT will look dead. But you have a ways to go before you get to that issue. You'd need to replace all the wax paper caps before trying to power it up.

That set is in wonderful condition!
It needs to be restored, even if that means finding a CRT for it should it come to that.

Ooo-la-la. Great condition, and it even came with vintage rabbit ears!

Those notes are good for all of us to review.
Your chassis stand peaked my interest. When I was restoring my 48-2500 TV, I thought it would be nice to have a "lazy susan" to rotate the chassis. I'm pondering on how to do this and use it with your large "L" bracket chassis stand idea. Carl Quote:
