Kutztown Emerson suitcase tv

Kutztown was bigger than ever. 150 registered sellers under two pavillions and the DVHRC thanks you. Tv's were thin. A turquoise metal 50's set with chrome galore was the best on the tables. Gone. A nice Emerson 7" but not much more of note.

Somehow a Moto mint conditon and working changer came home with all it's gold plating in perfect conditon. A few xstrs, a Zenith AM/FM from the 70's, the RCA 5T raffle radio (buy lottsa tix and support your club), and a Brunswick Parthenon looking 20's speaker for my battery sets fit in the car.

But the best was an Emerson suitcase BW set found under a table. A well-known dealer had it and I had to give in to his pleadings for $75. It looks like new with some yellowing of the back. Dipole antennas are perfect and shiny.

I can find no trace of it on the internet. Model T1800 as I can read the sticker. CRT measures 18" visible. I cannot find my Sams guide and rely on you to identify it. Pix will come later as I can find a space to display it. Mid to late 60's is my guess.

I just plugged it in and it came to life with a full raster and snow. It was waiting for me to bring it back. It weighs a ton for a portable.

The odd thing is the tuner display. It has upper VHF/UHF tuner markings but no UHF antenna connections. Below the tuner is another click display with an ON/OFF in a rotary click which powers the set. It is a full turn to ON/OFF going either direction. In between the ON/OFF is a series of numbers, ie; 1.0, 1,5, to 3.5. Not sure what they are for. they do not affect the pix.
