New Crap possible fixes?
My brother asked me about a couple tv's on Craigslist. He is looking for something to play his PS3 on. He does not have a lot of $ to spare. I really do not know much about these tv's but perhaps some of you who mess with the newer stuff may have some opinion. Here is the link

I'd get the 25" Sony. If he's only going to use it for PS3, at least from the description, one set of inputs work. I would even guess that Sony is fine, and something just isn't set right in the menu. That 40" Toshiba would be one heavy set.. I'd ignore that one...

Yep, exactly what Andy said. That Aux input is usually set to channel 3 or 4 to match a cable box's RF output. When I had lousy cable in 1985 that would not pass the stereo-TV sound, I hooked up a pair of rabbit ears to that input to watch NBC (which had the most and best stereo shows at the time). Luckily, our NBC station was on channel 4 here.
