Grundig 1510
Got this little yellow Grundig from mid '70s
The production started in 1973 and was the first Grundig set with an inline CRT (Toshiba 370BDB22) No audio but is probably the IC SN76013 audio output, I have some modules in lab, it's an easy test ![]() ![]() ![]()

Enjoy your new set.
It fascinates me that cultures are often very different from one country to another, but electronics are not. This TV looks just like any sold in the USA at the same time, and very different from a TV made in the 1960s or 1980s. The main difference is the "bulging" CRT, which is a style never sold here at all though it was common in Europe.

What do you mean by "bulging CRT"? Maybe the screen is slightly further out of the cabinet?

I think he means that the whole face of the tube is exposed including the non watchable edge that US brands tended to hide.

This style is very popular in Europe, and is quite rare that the non watchable edge is hidden, at least in the seventies and eighties.
Some example ![]() ![]()

Yes, exactly that. In North America, every TV set had a frame around the CRT that extended forward of the edges of the picture tube.

In Australia, the term "Pushed through" is used to describe this look. it was common on the European sets sold here during the 1970's, but not at all on the Japanese sets like the Rank Arena, Sony, Sanyo etc.

I have another Grundig set, a 6242 model, and some modules can be installed on the 1510. I installed the new audio module and the set works great! Tomorrow I'll go to buy a new audio IC
