Looks like a nice restoreable set. Are you going to get it?

Oh no, not me I already have one (my avatar pic) that's been fully restored and performs great. Although I do love the Admirals, I try to draw the line at not owning duplicate models.

Plus, I'm inching close to getting this set I think a blond combo would round out my fleet of Admirals nicely.

I hope another member can get it. If the bakelite is damage free, has the metal back and the CRT is good it's a fair price IMO. And you get the 3 bonus radios.

If i was not 1500 miles away.... That blonde set looks nice! You live in the right area for vintage TV's. Are you ever going to restore a color set? I know they are large and take up precious real estate. I ended up with several roundie color sets. I have only a few Small B&W sets. 1949 motorola, 1950 Philco and a 1970 CM mini console. Amazing how they add up in a hurry!

BTW, I like to watch your restoration videos. I get a lot of good ideas for restoration on cabinets and rusty chassis'.

Probably not anytime soon. I currently have about 45 radios and B&W TVs to restore. That's going a take several years I figure.

I'm currently working on an arrangement with a local woodworker / furniture restored. He already has a workshop and is about to open up a retail shop. I'm hoping to put up some of my sets in his show both to attract attention and sell them. He also has some radios I might get running for him. Perhaps we'll form a partnership where he'll do the cabinet work and I'll fix the electronics.

This is all just talk at this point but we'll see. If nothing else, he should me able to fabricate some wood parts I need for several sets.
Also, he has access to a auto spray equipment and can paint some metal cabinets for me
