Bermuda Triangle TV? - Pana 7" Color Set

Good day Gentlemen,

I recently purchased a Panasonic CT-772 7 inch color TV from our good VK member friend Bryan G.

The TV has well arrived in France, but upon power up, i'm getting the strangest OTA test patterns. Did it transit through the Bermuda Triangle and is receiving pictures from the past? - the mystery lingers on ...

Judge for yourselves, such impossible things such as the following test patterns seem to float through the airwaves:
- Early BBC color test pattern
- American postwar pattern
- A French Nicoise early SECAM (1964) test slide
- A British Test Card F with a little girl?
- A Berlin PRE-War test card !!

Help! how can i fix this TV to show today's programs...

Maybe the real TV you ordered hasn't arrived yet. What you have, is an identical TV that was lost in the mail 50 years ago. When it was packed, stray signals were trapped in the sealed box. When you opened the package, you released the signals, and now they are bouncing around your house.

Open a window, and let them out. You should be able to pick up normal signals once those old ones dissipate in the modern air.

They used "SECAM" (System Entirely Contrary to the American Method)
That TV must be holding onto its favorite NTSC signals...

Thank You! for some very imaginative explanation scenarios, maybe some of you write/wrote for cinema/TV series professionally...

for Findm-Keepm: just a collection of jpg files uploaded into a Porta-Pattern NTSC/PAL test generator via an SD card. High-res files were unmodified as the Porta-Pattern automatically resizes on the fly to the proper NTSC or PAL Broadcast standard for display. Other sizes were standardized to 720x540 which is the format outputted by the Porta-Pattern in NTSC. I can send them to you if you like - Mail by PM please.

for TerrySmith: of course France never used NTSC, just one of my 100mW "legacy" transmitters keeping the standard alive overseas.

for wa2ise: and not to mention PAL's acronym - "Peace At Last".
