Sharp ELTV - Did it ever enter production?

Hi All!

I just was browsing old ads and reviews for TV's and I came upon this interesting gem. It was a flat screen black and white TV made by Sharp that uses an electroluminescent display. The review said that it was going to enter production by "late 1979 or early 1980." I'd like to ask is did Sharp put it on the market? The review is from an old January 1979 issue of Playboy, IIRC, I remember they always reviewed the high end geek toys of the day. I've attached the pic.
