Just picked this up today!

Philco model 50-T1403. I tested the CRT(12LP4) and is perfect! Good life test & emissions. :}. The guy told it was running a few years ago. The veneer is not great but fixable. all the knobs are there as is all the tubes.

Nice! should be an easy restore... The volume knob is incorrect, however... it should be a single knob that exactly matches the appearance of the dual knob (H & V) next to it.

The cabinet will be the worst part. I think I will try to find someone with experience refinishing and repairing cabinets. I think I can do an OK job but don't want to risk it.

Sorry, I don't, but after looking at your pics, I guess I need one my 50T-1401 too
Funny, we both need the knob on the far left. I think I'm missing an outer knob too.

The annual ARCI swapfest is coming up in August and I'll be sure to keep an eye out for these. There are always tons of knobs at those shows.

Are you sure that's good emission, and not a gassy or soft tube? What happens if you turn down filament voltage, does the current smoothly decline?

The manual says if it pegs the needle, it's as if new but I wont know for sure until I power it up. Life test was excellent. This TV was working about 3 years ago. The guy watched a football game on it. Another VK member is sending me a correct knob and a sams.
