Hallicrafters 818

There's a nice Hallicrafters 818 on eBay.

If the globe tubes in the box he's including are good, especially the Arcturus blue, they alone might be worth the buy it now.

No connection with the seller.

WOW. I can't believe it sold for that much. Good luck to them if they plan to restore it (they'll need it).

So what is a tube like this worth that tested good by a mutual conductance tube tester ?

What is so scary about a Hallicrafters 818?

If the 16GP4 tests high for good emission, The flyback passes the ring test and looks good the power transformer is trouble free and a cabinet that will look great with moderate TLC, Where will the bogeyman be hiding?
